We would like to introduce you to the best dog ever, Buddy! He is a purebred Golden Retriever and his coat is a beautiful red. A little about Buddy's background: he was surrendered because his family had been through a very hard time (death in family) and they had to move. This dog is wonderful! He has already had basic obedience training (he can sit, lay down, and shake). He has free run of our house and has not had any accidents. He will go into a crate but looks very sad if he has to stay in there. I guess he has issues with being boarded as well. He does not do very well being kenneled for a long period of time.

He is great with the kids (3, 6, 13) and our resident dogs. I don't know how he is around cats but we have a dog about that size and he ignores him. He is a super calm dog but can play like a puppy every once in a while. He pulls a little on the leash but not enough to try the Gentle Leader yet. He loves to ride in the car with his face out the window. He loves toys and to chase the occasional tennis ball. He does bark, but only when people walk by and is very good about quieting down when corrected. I think Buddy would benefit from a home with a fence.

I cannot get over how nice of a dog he truly is. He is going to make some family VERY happy. He's just a happy boy that wants a family for his very own. Do you have a spot for this perfect dog?

We were so lucky to have Buddy join our family in 2008. He was the kindest, gentlest, most loving dog, and was a perfect fit in our family with special needs children. He was the perfect amount of protective and mellow, and was adored by everyone who met him.

He moved with us from Minnesota to New Jersey, and lived his days healthy and happy. We had to put Buddy down in April at the age of 14, and we miss his calming presence and gentle nature.

Thank you to RAGOM for bringing him to us. He was a perfect fit for our family.
