Tucker 08-273

Profile

Tucker is a 2 yr old, not neutered, PB male golden. He weighs approx 94 pounds (all muscle!), is now UTD, is very good with other dogs, is good with kids, likes to ride in the car, is house broken (but not crate trained—he’s ok once he’s in, but doesn’t really like to go). He had previously been gated into a room when the family was gone, but has had free roam with no problems since joining us. He has no separation or storm anxiety and no special needs.

Tucker has no health issues (besides some relatively minor seasonal allergies—his eye’s gum up a little). He is great with kids (previously lived with 3 with no problems and is really comfortable around them—even though he is a really big dog). The surrendering owner stated that he does dig when left outside—but here, he’s had free roam of in and outside without that occurring (maybe he hasn’t smelled everything above ground yet). I left the back door open all day today and had no holes, though we did walk today for and hour and half, so maybe he was tired.

Tucker is a good dog—a little lazy with commands, and will play “catch me if you can” when he happens to get out of your reach. You can’t keep this guy out of the water—he absolutely loves swimming—and he’s loves to play fetch. At first blush, he looks like a really big dog—it’s a tad intimidating, but he’s a gentle guy, your typical golden.

His surrendering owners had to give him up because their 3-year old developed strong allergies to Tucker. Oh—and he’s scheduled to be neutered on Friday (June 6).
