Hi there...my name is Tucker. I am a 5 year old dark buff male neutered purebred Golden. I have been told that I have a CLASSIC Golden temperament and foster mom says I won't be available for very long. I was raised with many children, another dog and cat and I love them all. I like to run but am just as happy with a few nice long walks each day. I have been chasing the tennis ball in my "new backyard" and I bring it back everytime. But I don't drop it, I just sit there and make noises till foster mom pries it out of my mouth. She says I am a little chubby so we are working on that.
I like the other Golden that lives here; she is older than me so I beat her to the tennis ball every time. She gets special food and I don't try and "steal" it but it sure smells good. I am SO-O happy here; we have a regular schedule and I am so appreciative to RAGOM for giving me a new lease on life. I had a few hours of brushing yesterday and a bath; I think she said something about needing more brushing but it's okay as long as I get hugs. I go to the vet on Thursday for some shots and a checkup...will let you know how that goes.
Note from foster mom: There aren't enough adjectives to describe Tucker; he is one special dog. He would be very happy in a family with a large fenced yard or controlled running environment. He needs to lose a little weight and we are working on that. He is the perfect age at 5 with the puppy out of him but still lots of energy for an energetic child or adult. He seems to like stability and structure though and has really adjusted to a new home quickly. He is potty trained and crate trained, walks great on a leash and is very respectful. This boy is a winner.
