Willow is so happy to be out of the shelter and into the RAGOM family! She is a sweet puppy, part Yellow Lab and part Golden Retriever (Golden Lab? Yellow Retriever?). She is just eight months old. She is a very good dog, sleeps all night in her crate and wakes up ready to play. She went to the Vet yesterday and got a clean bill of health. He described her as, "Well muscled, long-legged; a nice looking dog." She weighed in at 55 pounds of love.
Willow is such a smart girl, all she wants is to please. She follows us from room to room and lays at our feet when we sit down. She understands the word NO and will stop right away, but she is a puppy and she does jump up and does tend to mouth. She is completely house-broken. She asks politely when it's time to go out. She plays wonderfully with the resident dog.
Like most dogs she doesn't care for a Gentle Leader but without one she tends to pull a little too much when on a regular leash. She is learning, however, to walk like a lady -- a little more training and she'll be a joy to take for a walk. We are a little surprised that, when taken to water, that she doesn't jump in and play. She seems unsure what other dogs find so attractive about swimming.
We feel anyone would be very lucky to have this girl, with a little training she will surely be a great dog. If you are interested in Willow you better hurry, because this girl won't last long.
