Champ 08-224

Profile

This is Champ, also known as Chase (around here anyway). Chase will be 5 months the 13th of May. His mom was a purebred Golden Retriever and dad was an English Pointer mix. Chase came all the way up from Iowa. His second night spent in Minnesota was at my daughter's. He was wonderful with my 9 month old granddaughter and 3 year old grandson. So far he is doing well with my 2 cats.

This guy will be big. He is a little clumsy with his big paws. Chase has a vet appointment on Wednesday and will have an exam and be microchipped. He is already UTD on his immunizations. We will also talk about how soon he can be neutered. I will keep you updated on this cute guy.

Champ continues to do great. He met a lot of people, kids, and dogs this weekend with all the summer people back up to the lake. He is totally wiped out. I think he will sleep for days. He will be getting his boosters and stitches out on Wednesday and he will be ready for adoption. Stay tuned!

Chase was neutered on Wednesday and everything went well. It did not slow him down a bit. He is on the go all the time. And trying to keep him quiet and not so active is quite a challenge. The Vet and techs all thought he will make a great pet.

He loves the cats. To him they are just another toy. If they run he will chase. But he would never hurt them, once he catches up to them he licks them. Everything is just fun and games with this guy, but we are working on some obedience training with him and he listens well.

My 7 year old and 4 year old grandsons were here on Sunday and he did really well with them. I still have to convince him to go in the crate, so I use a hotdog to coax him in. Once in, he does fine. His housetraining is still going well - he has had a couple accidents, but all in all he does pretty well. He is waiting for his new forever home.

"I think we have mice, look what they did to my ball!"

I love this big water bowl :)
