Baxter 08-157

Profile

Baxter is here and what a sweet heart he is. He is 13 years old but you would never know it. He is one beautiful dog, who seems to be in great shape. He is a tall, darker golden color, spry older gentleman. He came from a home where he was well loved, and there were many tears shed when they were giving him up. Baxter loves everyone, people, dogs, and cats. He has very good manners and waits for treats very nicely. He will be going this week to the vet to get a good once over and get up to date with all of his vaccinations. This guy is a keeper. I will tell you more and have some pictures to share in a few days.

Hi all - Baxter here.............. Boy oh Boy do I love RAGOM! I love my foster family so very much, and they love me too. Let me tell you what I have been doing since I became a Ragom dog. So far I have met Larry my foster brother and he is just a blast, every once in awhile I can even get him to play with me. I am trying to teach him some good manners, cause he likes to eat everything and he doesnt listen to our mom all the time. So I have taken it upon myself to try and teach this young buck a few things.

I also met both the cats here and they are good to me. One of them even kissed me on the snout yesterday. Then this morning, Delicious the one cat was lying on the bar stool that was above my dish, and while I was trying to eat my breakfast she kept playing with the hair on my back. What a silly kitty. It didn't bother me at all, I just kept eating my food.

Yesterday I went to the vet - I was really nervous but I was a good boy. They were very good to me there. They listened to my heart and lungs and said it all sounds good. Then they poked me and took lots of blood, all of that turned out pretty good. The doc says that all my blood work was GREAT for a dog my age. Except for one nasty infection called Anaplasma, I guess that I got that from one of those nasty ticks - but the doc says that some antibiotics will clear that right up. They all said that they would never have guessed my age at 12 years old. Dr. L says that I look and act more like an 8 year old. So don't let my age deter you from adopting me, cause I'm got things to do and people to love.

Hi Foster mom here. let me tell you about this wonderful old gentleman - Baxter is so sweet and kind. He is so gentle and listens really well. He has made himself right at home. You would think that he had lived here forever. He loves everyone that he meets, adults, kids of all ages, dogs both male and female, and totally ignores the cats. He loves his stuffed toys and tennis balls, and also loves to go for walks. He has free run of the house, does not chew on anything that he is not suppose to. He does his business outside all the time, and will tell you that he has to go. He will sneak up on the recliner when you are not looking and would love to sleep in bed with you. He can't get up on my bed cause its up very high off the floor. He will sleep either on his bed next to mine or he will go under my bed.

This is the perfect dog, I know that he is older, but he has lots of love to give. He is in great health and acts more like an 8 year old than 12 year old. This is one perfect dog.............
