Our sweet Chopper has passed away. We are so heartbroken, but grateful for all the memories we have with this sweet, sweet girl.

Well, I was supposed to give everyone an update today on how my spay surgery went, but I tossed my foster family a curve ball and started my heat cycle. Unfortunately, my spay will have to be put on hold for two months. That is OK, though. I like my foster family, and now they will just get to know me better.
I am really enjoying playing with my foster sister, Sally the Dane. I also love to play fetch. If you keep throwing me the ball, I will keep bringing it back to you.
I am also a very good leash walker. I pulled at first, but was very eager to please my foster dad and was walking next to him in no time. I also jog on leash very well. I would make a great running partner.
My foster family thinks that I am a great dog to have around. I listen very well and I don’t get into anything that I am not supposed to be in. I am a fun gal and I like attention, but I also know how to relax.
My foster mom's birthday party was this weekend, and boy, did I have fun. Some people came over that I had never seen before, but I was fine the whole time. I just greeted everone and let them love me up. Then, I found a spot for a little nap.
I hardly ever bark, but sometimes my foster sister gets going and I wonder why she is barking, so I just join in. When my foster parents ask me to stop, I do.
I am willing to be crated, but every once in a while, I protest a little and make some noise, though that doesn’t last long and I settle in for some rest. My foster family thinks that I would do just fine with free roam of the house, but since I am in heat, I should probably stay in the crate.
Anyway, that is all from me for now. I won't be at the Petco event on the 26th as I had planned, but you can still meet me at my foster family's house. I won’t be able to be adopted until I get spayed (mid March), but don’t let that stop you from meeting me. I think that I am worth the wait.
I will keep sending in updates in the meantime. Please contact RAGOM and let them know you want to see me. I am looking forward to meeting my forever family.
XOXO,
Chopper Girl

Hello, friends. Chopper here. Don’t let the name scare you off. I am really a sweet girl.
I have only been with my fabulous foster family for two days now, but since I had my vet appointment today, I thought I would give everyone an update. The vet says that I am a healthy girl. I weighed in at 60 pounds. I got all up to date on my shots and I passed my heartworm test. Negative!
I really behaved quite well at the vet, even though they were poking me. Ouch. I do still need to get spayed. My appointment is for next Monday. After that, I will be ready for my forever family.
I really do love to be an inside dog. I am not really used to this constant attention, but I am loving it. Even though I used to an outside dog, I still know not to go potty in the house. I let my foster family know when it is time for me to go outside.
I love to run and play outside, but you need to keep close tabs on me, because I like to explore my surroundings and beyond.
My foster dad gave me a bath. I really enjoyed being brushed after the bath. I even fell asleep. He also clipped my nails, but I didn't even notice because my foster mom was petting me.
I am used to cats and kids. I didn’t live with any dogs before, but there are two big dogs here. There is one big lazy one and he just ignores me, so we get along.
The other one is big, too, but is still kind of a puppy. She likes to play with me a lot. I like to play with her, too, just not all the time. So, sometimes I have to tell her how I feel and then she leaves me alone.
At night, I sleep in my foster parents' room on the floor on a blanket. During the day when no one is home, I hang out in a crate. I don’t mind the crate. It gives me a good chance to catch up on some beauty rest.
I do pretty well on a leash. I only pull a little bit. I just need someone to take me for walks and work with me. I also like car rides.
I do come when you call my name and know a few other commands, too. I can impress you with "sit," "down," and "shake." I am always up for more training.
Am I the dog for you? I may miss my previous family, but I am looking forward to having a new beginning with a special family. I know my previous family will miss me, too, but RAGOM only picks the best families to adopt to, so I will be well cared for.
My foster mom will send an update next week after my surgery to let you all know how it went.
XOXO,
Chopper girl

Hey, everyone. This is Chopper. She is an absolute sweetheart. She came from a great family that I have a lot of respect for. They felt that they weren't giving her enough attention, so she would benefit from another family that had more time to commit to her.
She is a 3-year-old Golden that looks to be in great shape. She lived with kids and cats, and she seems to be fine with our cat and two large dogs. She likes to play with Sally, our outgoing Dane. She reminds us a lot of Summer 07-688 so far. She seems to have the same energy, but a bit less anxious.
Chopper has a vet appointment on Tuesday and will have to be spayed before adoption, but she will update you all about how it goes after that.
Stay tuned. I think she will find a good family fast. I think she is great.
