Meet the beautiful, dark red Tobey.  He is an approximately 4 year old male who was used for breeding.  Tobey apparently lived outside and is not used to a lot of human contact, because right now he is very scared in our house.  But outside, in a secure fence, without humans looking on (we hide inside the house and watch from a window!) he is an entirely different dog!  He trots the fence line, head and tail held high, and watches our resident golden Jaden very, very closely.  In the days to come, he will learn from Jaden's example that life as a beloved pet is not so scary, that humans are good, and that he can trust us.  Until then, we will take each small step slowly.  We don't even have a photo yet because he becomes so timid as we approach.   So keep watching for updates on this boy as he learns to live the golden life.

Update 1/8: Tobey's not feeling very photogenic just yet, will send better photos as we are able to get them!
