Here's Bailey!!!!  He's a Sensational Senior!!!!!

Bailey is a purebred 11 year old Golden.  He has lived his life with one family that loved him very much and took very good care of him.  Due to a change in the family situation, they were no longer able to keep Bailey.

Bailey is very mild tempered, gets along great with other dogs, cats, and teenagers.  No aggression issues.  At 11, Bailey has some problems with his hips and shoulders but is currently on Rimadyl and Glucosamine and that has helped him quite a bit.  The vet has suggested that if he looses a few pounds that will help his hips considerably.

Bailey loves tennis balls and carrying stuffed animals.  He can even carry 2 tennis balls in his mouth at one time.  He has a playful side and plays well with his toys alone or with the other two resident dogs.  Bailey has had obediance classes in the past and it shows.  Very well behaved, respectful of furniture, and responds to commands.  At his age, he doesn't appear to have any problems with his eyes, ears (hearing or infection), and no potty issues.

Bailey is a wonderful boy looking for the right home and family to enjoy his Golden Years.  If you think Bailey might be a good fit for your household, please contact your placement coordinator.

Bailey is currently fostered in the Twin Cities.

Bailey Borchers Olson
February 3, 1996 - August 3, 2009

On Monday, August 3, 2009 our beloved Bailey crossed to the Rainbow Bridge.

Bailey was born in the state of Washington in 1996. He relocated with his family to the Minneapolis area while he was a pup. Bailey loved Minnesota and all the lakes. His mom would take him to the beach where he could play and swim in the water for hours.

Exceptionally well behaved and well mannered, Bailey made friends wherever he went. In December 2007, Bailey left his original family and began living with Steve & Deb. It was love at first sight. Bailey was such an easy going dog that he had no problem fitting into a house that had an active teenager and two other fur butts.

Although Bailey had physical limitations in his last few years - his mind was always active and alert. He had a young dog mind in an old dog body. Bailey never missed a chance to play ball or go for a walk or car ride. No one will ever forget Bailey’s deep bark welcoming you home at night or the way his rear end would jiggle because his tail was wagging so fast from excitement at seeing you home.

Goodbye Bailey.
You are loved by so many, and have left an indelible paw print on our hearts.
