Profile

Rudy!  Rudy!  Rudy!  Just like in the movie, you really want to cheer this dog!  Rudy arrived at our house this evening and has already established himself as the easiest acclimating foster to our home.  Rudy is a purebred golden, and very golden in color.  He is neutered and has been through formal obedience training - we have the graduation certificate to prove it!  His owner brought him to the vet this morning and got him up to date on everything....and also found out that he weighs about 20 pounds more than he should!  We told him his snacking days are over and he gets to start exercising tomorrow!  Cinder, our resident dog, has already informed him that Wrestlemania will begin without warning and whenever she feels like pouncing on him.  He has a wellness check tomorrow with a RAGOM vet that should be a total breeze.

Rudy came from a family that had kids and other dogs. He was surrendered only due to a divorce, and you can tell that he's used to being part of a family.  Rudy is a big baby and LOVES to be around people.  He is crate trained, super responsive, and healthy, aside from his weight (when he's standing up and you are sitting, he's like a small table).  Rudy has been well cared for - he is groomed and on a high quality food already, walks perfectly on a Gentle Leader, and knows that it's a good habit to be as close to a person as possible for maximum petting.  Rudy will turn 3 years old on 11/17 and I hope that he will be able to celebrate it in style with his new family!

That tail rarely stops wagging, by the way

Isn't he a handsome guy??
