Duke is an absolute charmer. He has been such a good boy and has been so nice to foster. He is just a big cuddle bug that wants only to get some of the love he missed out on when he was roaming without a loving home as a stray.
Duke does great in his crate each night. He has no aggression and we're able take treats/bones and his food from him without it upsetting him. Lucy has grown fond of him and he likes to follow her around and copy her on alot of things. I think he's learning many things from her as a pet. He's house trained and loves car rides. He does well with kids and cats and everyone.
When he first arrived here a week ago he was so gentle, but quite skittish and timid. In just one week he has blossomed into a dog that seems to know he'll always have someone to love him and won't ever be wandering looking for a scrap of a meal or where the next dry place to sleep will be.
I still think he needs to go to a home with a fenced in yard and could learn alot from basic obedience classes. He does pull a bit on a leash, but that can be helped also with a class.
This kind, sweet boy is not a pure bred golden, but I guarantee you if you come meet him, you won't be able to not fall in love with his looks and charm.
I am kind of shocked that no one has been by to meet him yet. The pics of him do not even come close to doing him justice on how cute he is...Please email placement
ragom [dot] org if you'd like to meet this sweetheart.
Thank you for reading up on him.
