Hi everyone Maya here. I am a beautiful Golden Retriever girl. I am 5 years old and came to Minnesota on Saturday Sept. 15th. It sure was along ride but I did great. I am very afraid of tiled floors, but my foster mom is working on that with me. I get along great with my 4 legged foster friend, but I'm not sure if she likes sharing my foster mom. When my foster dad comes to see me my tail wags very hard and my face lights up. I walk very good on a leash.  My foster family does not have a fenced yard. At first my foster mom thought that was going to be a problem, (being that I was used to a fence) but I don't go anywhere. I don't play with toys yet,  but they are working on that. I need someone that will teach me have to play and have some fun. I went to the vet and I did really good. My foster mom had a hard time getting me in her truck so she had to call a friend of hers and boy did they look silly trying to figure out how to get me in there. You know I weigh 88 pounds. I'm a big girl, but I am very loving. Finally they just said, "ok let's just do it." One took the front end and the other took the back end and up I go in the truck. It was kind of fun. I ride in a car with no problems, it's just that I don't know how to get in a big truck yet by myself. I am house trained so far I have not had a accident in the house.  My foster family has 4 cats and I have not bothered them yet. Three of them stay away from me but the youngest one (he is 2) comes by me all the time and I do fine.
Saturday is going to be a big day for me. I am going to the RAGOM picnic. I will be there around 12 noon if they can get me up in the truck. So come and see how beautiful and sweet I am, for I am looking for that forever home.
  Until next time,Maya

Well, everyone Maya's foster mom here. Maya has found the perfect family. This family is so wonderful they invited us over on Sat., for a barbecue. We were there for over 4 hours. They gave us a tour of their property. They have about 1 acre of fenced in yard and 2 beautiful girls that will give Maya a lot of love. I was very sad to see her go, but I know in my heart that they will take very good care of her. Hey they invited me to come and see Maya anytime, what more could a foster parent ask for. Oh yea the 2 girls, they were the ones that were walking Maya at the RAGOM picnic and that's where they fell in love with her. Maya was my first foster Golden and it was the best time. I almost kept her myself. She was perfect. The person that surrender her loved her very much.

Hi everyone I'm back. I just wanted to tell you about the big day I had yesterday. My foster mom & dad took me to this park where there were like 100 or more dogs running around, playing games and meeting people. She told me we were going to some kind of a Showcase for all RAGOM foster dogs to find a forever home. Oh my gosh she was not kidding when she said a lot of people were going to be there. These 2 girls even took me for a little walk, but I didn't want to go to far from my foster mom. These people were looking at me and telling me how beautiful my fur was. My foster mom told them that I was at the groomers on Friday. Let me tell you about that nice lady that gave me a bath and trimmed my nails. She was so nice and gentle to me, she said I was so good and I could come back anytime. You see she used to have Goldens herself. After the Showcase I went to this other party. It was called a housewarming party. It was at my 2 legged foster brothers house. There was lots of people there and boy did I get lots and lots of hugs and kisses. It was great. There were little kids there and they were petting me and I loved every minute of it. So I am fine with little kids. When it was time to go home I jumped in the car and fell asleep in the back seat. It was a long and busy day for me. Here are some pictures of my big day at the housewarming party. No pictures from the picnic. My foster mom was too busy talking to people about me. I'll send some pictures in a couple of days. Maya signing off for now.
