Boy, am I sorry that I have not kept all of you posted on Teddy, especially since he has adapted so well. I took him on lots of walks before deciding to try a Gentle Leader. He was not bad with a regular collar but with the GL, it is like walking a flea! Teddy has a mischievous side that keeps me on my toes. Yesterday, I sat down to put my shoes on and realized one was missing in action. There sits Teddy, wagging his tail with the missing shoe. He actually smiled when I asked him to drop it. Teddy finds unique ways to get attention. If the resident dogs are napping, he will gently walk over them, time after time, until one will play with him. His response to No, Sit, Out, Come is instant. We are working on Stay. Goldens have such different personalities, and mine are no exception. Resident Sasha is the Prima Donna, Grayson the gentle soul. Teddy, if he could talk, would be the one asking 'why not'? I like his spunk. Give him his Kong filled with peanut butter and he is content. I do not encourage the dogs to get on the furniture, but made an exception last night. Poor Teddy could not get comfortable. I heard him walking around the house, trying to find a perfect spot to sleep. Finally, here he comes up on my bed. I only counted 3 sheep and he was fast asleep. What a breath of fresh air! He has full run of the house while I am at work and has not disturbed anything. Teddy knows his boundries and does not cross them.
