Houdini had his 9 week old booster today. And what a trooper he was. "Dini" as we call him does love the water. He walks right in the lake. And he runs up and down the shoreline. We take short walks in the morning and he will run in and out of the tall weeds. He is a afraid of nothing. We have a small pen in the yard for the puppies and Houdini is true to his name and escapes. My husband fixes it so he can't get out and he escapes all the same. He comes up on the deck and just waits for me to come out. In the mean time his brother is in the pen having a fit because his brother is free and he isn't. Not to quiet in the morning here. Houdini is the puppy on the right in the picture with both pups.

Houdini is a male 6 week old and is being fostered in Aitkin, MN. Now you have heard of "Labradoodles," and "Goldendoodles", and "Cockapoos" etc. Well, here we have a purebred "Labragolden". Black Labrador Retriever and Golden Retriever. No matter how you say it, this guy is as cute as a bugs ear. Houdini came from Rhylander WI. His mom was too sick to take care of her pups, so his two brothers and him have been hand fed since they were 3 days old. One of the pups stayed in WI and Houdini and Darwin came to RAGOM. Houdini is definately the most curious and adventuresome of the two. I will keep you updated on this guy as he has to stay with his brother until they are 8 weeks old.

Well, after having Houdini for a week he has definately turned out to be a cuddle bug. He did have a mishap last week. Our Golden Lew was playing with the pups, got a little excited and before we could stop him ran over Houdini. Talk about sick at heart. He is favoring his front leg, and we may have to have it checked out if he continues to favor it. He does play, and goes up steps with it. So I am hoping it is just a little tender and nothing major. Amazingly these guys have not messed (pooped) in the welping box they have been in. It is 4x6 and they will go all night without any surprises. I come home for lunch and same thing.... nothing. They urinate of course, but I think these guys are going to be easy to house break. I did find out that mom was purebred Golden and dad was purebred Lab. I will keep you updated on this handsome guy.
