John Boy 07-481

Profile

Introducing John-Boy! Take a look at this darling 1 yr. old boy. He is a beauty for sure. He is a puppy mill dog from this last Missouri trip and is already the father of 3 litters. He was neutered yesterday and is doing fine. He is very scared of people and darts everywhere.  But, he is warming up fast. He loves to have his ears rubbed and when I am petting up my dog, he squirms right over to get his fair share. Loud noises still bother him, but I have seen many changes in him in this last week.  He is UTD on all of his shots, but did come in with tape worms and whip worms which are very serious. He is on the medication now and in a day or two he will be clean as a whistle.

He loves to run and play in the back yard and is very attached to our dog, Jade. He is full of energy, being a young dog, so he should go to a family that likes lots of exercise or has younger dogs to play with him. He is almost totally housebroken and is a very happy doggie.

We are planning on being at the Renaissance Festival on Sunday, Sept. 9 from 11-2 so come to the RAGOM booth to meet our darling Johnny.

We are back from a fabulous day at Snail Lake Park. What wonderful weather for all of us to meet and greet the many families that are associated with RAGOM. And surely, that all came to see John-Boy. In his newest picture you can see him soaking up the love and admiration of one of the picnic goers. He is such a sweet little dog. Each day he is coming more and more out of his shell. He still is a little doorway challenged, but he is working on it. Oh, how he loves to play ball! He chases after it and throws it in the air for himself to run after. This is a dog that loves being outside. At the picnic he even started seeking out people to pet him and rub him. Such a big baby.

He now has his own bed in the TV room where he sleeps like a gentleman. No accidents for almost a month now. So I have taken to leaving the baby gates open at night and he has still preferred his bed in the TV room. Even when my resident dog comes into the bedroom with me. He still awakes around 6 am, but is happy to play with his toys and the kitchen towels until I take them out. He is getting more adventuresome in the night, though, because yesterday morning I found my slippers in the pile of toys by his bed. What a little sneak!

John Boy met many wonderful people at the picnic and he is hoping that one of those nice families fell in love with him as well. He needs a kind and patient family with another dog to set a good example for him on being a dog.  A fenced yard would be best, but not mandatory. Please take another look at this sweet dog and consider giving him a second chance.
