Hi Tom here.  I'm a 4 year old GR mix, with a lot of personality.  I'm neutered, I'm housebroken, I don't jump on furniture, I don't bark (at least I haven't since I'm with the new fosters-even tho the resident dogs try to get me to bark at everything that moves outside of the window), I love people, dogs and cats.  I don't think that I'm afraid of anything; the firecrackers aren't bothering me, the men putting on the new roof today didn't bother me with all that pounding and tearing off the old roof, I just lay back and take it all in.  I'm definitely on the large side, not fat mind you, just big.  In fact I think that I should gain a few pounds, I'm rather thin.  My head kinda looks like a Great Pyranees and I'm really rather tall and very pretty.  I heard something about going to the groomer later this week, so then I'm sure that I will be absolutely gorgeous.   I've heard it said that I am about the sweetest boy my foster mom has ever seen.  I love to go on walks and stay right by my moms side, I don't even pull, even a little.  I have a vet appt tomorrow afternoon, so we'll see if she says that I should put on a few pounds or stay the same.  I'll report more tomorrow.Foster mom here:  Tom doesn't seem to know his name, so I call him Buddy and he seems to respond to that better.  He is one of the nicest, sweetest dogs you will ever meet.  He has eyes that just melt your heart and a gentleness that is surprising since he is rather large.  Today he started to actually play with a few of the toys here, he just wanted to lay by my side most of yesterday.  He goes into a crate when I'm gone and he doesn't seem to mind it at all.  He is very social and shows no agression at all, even with my 7 lb terror on 4 legs (mini-dach/chihuahua mix).  He just wants to be close to his human.  What a love....

Hi, it's me, Tom.  I just got back from Doggy Parlor and am I gorgeous!!!  And now I'm in love.....  I love the girls at the Doggy Parlor; they bathed, conditioned and brushed me until I am so soft and cuddly that everybody stopped to look at me when I left.  The girls also said that I was really well behaved and that I should have a forever family that wants to pay a lot of attention to me, because they could tell that I love attention.  I ride in the car very nice, I don't really want to get in the car tho, so it takes a little prodding to get me in the back seat, but once I'm there - no problem.  I either sit and look out the windows or lay down and take it easy and let foster mom worry about where we are going.  I better go and get back to chewing on the treats foster mom bought because I was so good.    This is foster mom writing:  Tom aka Tommy absolutely loves attention of any kind.  He has yet to give kisses to anyone but the cat, but he nuzzles you with his nose.  I still haven't heard him bark and he now has the run of the house when I'm gone and does just fine.  I'm sending a picture of Tom after his Parlor appt.  He evens walks with a little spring in his step now that he is clean and smells so nice.   His forever family would be one that wants to shower him with alot of attention.  He loves nothing more than to be scratched behind his ears, he would let you do this for hours on end.  He has a tendency to wander when in the backyard so he needs to either have a fenced yard or be tethered (which he doesn't seem to mind).  I don't think that he really cares if he has another dog in the house, he does like to meet dogs on our walks but he doesn't really play with my 2.  He is so sweet and loveable, he reminds me of a large teddy bear, that wants nothing more than to be loved.  And he has a lot of love to give in return. You just melt when he looks up at you with his big beautiful loving eyes.  If you have room in your heart for a large, loveable, cuddly sweetheart like Tom please ask to meet him.   I guarantee you'll fall in love with him.
