7/2 Meet Nikita, or Nikki as we call her!  She's a beautiful 4 year old who loves life!  She's a well-adjusted sweetie with that great "golden temperment".  She arrived earlier today after a long drive from NE IA and a stop at my husband's worksite (thank you to the great volunteers who got her here!).  Her family surrendered her as they don't have any time for her anymore - although it is clear she has been loved.  Met my resident female with no problems whatsoever.  She's on the floor right now cuddling with my husband, who she adores.  Nikki is mostly UTD, and appears very healthy, but will have a vet visit tomorrow to get the once over and be microchipped.  She is housetrained and crate trained and reportedly loves kids, people and other dogs.  She knows sit, stay and lay down and takes treats nicely.  She does not jump on people, but will give you the "paw" to say hi.  She is a beautiful red color with just the slightest amount of lighter hairs around her eyes.  She's already had a bath, and really didn't want to, but was a very good girl through it all.  So far, she strikes me as a great companion and whoever gets her will be lucky indeed.  She won't last long, so if you're interested email placementragom [dot] org.
