Hi, my name is Ginger.  I am a gorgeous 60 pounder with short, light-colored hair.  I am four years old and I'm currently living with two dogs and a cat who hides a lot.  I get along great with the resident dogs.  We snooze together, go on walks at the park and swim.  They are lots of fun.  The cat is not quite as much fun... I think he might be afraid of me. The few times I've actually seen the cat I've barked at and chased him.  Hmm, I wonder if that is why he's afraid of me?  Anyway, my foster dad thinks I need to go to a forever home without any cats.

I went to the doggy doctor this week and got a check up.  The doctor is treating me for an ear infection and some itchy skin due to a skin allergy but we hope to have those things cleared up soon.  Otherwise, the doc says I'm in great shape.I really am a sweet girl.  I'm always happy and playful, I love attention, I give lots of kisses and I love to snuggle with my foster daddy.  I think I would be good in a home with or without other dogs.  But I'm not sure how I would do in a home with kids.  I think I would be fine but I can't say for sure because neither my foster home nor my last home has them.  I'll check in later and let you know how things are going in my cool foster home.

There isn't much new to report on Ginger. She is still doing very well in her foster home! She has been a great little guest and a joy to have around. She is the perfect companion. Loyal, affectionate, smart, cute, goofy and adorable.
Included are a few recent photos of Ginger, along with her friends Katie and Abbie.

Greetings, Dog Lovers! It is me, Ginger, and it's time for my update. We're just wrapping up Labor Day weekend and we sure had fun. The weather was so nice that my foster daddy took me and the two resident dogs to the park a bunch of times! I get so excited when I get to ride in the car and and daddy takes us to the park. It is fun to explore everything in the park, and I especially love it when I get to go swimming. I have become an excellent swimmer, if I do say so myself. We also got to see Grandma and Grandpa this weekend. I love going to their house because they always give us doggy treats!

Living with my foster family has been great! I have two resident dogs to play with and a cat to scare. I get to sleep wherever I want and I have a back yard to run around in and chase tennis balls. I am very obedient and lovable and smart. I know some commands but I am eager to learn more. Daddy says I'm a great girl and I'll make some lucky family very happy. I hope I get to meet my forever family soon. I have lots of love and many kisses to give them!

Ginger has been with me for a little over a month now and she is as adorable as ever.  It's impossible not to fall in love with this girl.  She is a total sweetheart.  She's 60 pounds of hugs, kisses and tail-wagging happiness.  My two resident dogs have welcomed Ginger into our home and everyone gets along great.  Ginger fit into our routine immediately and has been a perfect little house guest.

Since arriving, Ginger has become quite the swimmer.  When she first arrived she enjoyed splashing around in the water but she seemed afraid to go out in deep enough water to actually swim.  With each trip to the lake she became more and more comfortable with the water and she went out a little deeper each time.  Now she loves to swim in the deeper water and, if I'm out in the water swimming with the dogs, she and my resident Golden follow my every move.   Whenever I swim, they swim.  I literally have two dogs swimming right behind me (my other resident dog doesn't care to swim otherwise I might have three dogs chasing me).

Ginger is a playful girl who loves to chase after tennis balls, have her tummy scratched, go for car rides, snuggle and and be the recipient of lots of love and affection.  She is good with other dogs and kids over 10.  I haven't seen her around kids under 10 so I'm not sure how she would behave in that situation....but my guess is that she would be fine.  She really hates cats, though, so she definitely needs to go to a home without a cat.

Ginger is a truly wonderful girl and will make a great addition to some lucky family.
