Maggie 07-363

Profile

Maggie (1 1/2 year old golden/collie mix) arrived at our house yesterday afternoon in the middle of a thunderstorm.  She does not seem to be effected by storms (thunder or lightening) and seems to enjoy riding in the car.  She's as cute as can be, rather small and petite for a golden / collie mix.  She is UTD on her vetting, per the vet records I received, and she weighs 43 lbs.  She shows no agression at all, even with the 7 lb snippy resident dog, and she has pretty much ignored the cat.  She has engaged the resident sheltie mix in many rounds of play and afterwards likes to lay on the couch with her head in my lap for a rest.  She  knows her name and has been through obedience training, so she knows basic commands.  She seems to be food motived so I will try to see if I can engage her in some backyard agility training.  She is housebroken but with everything so new she has had a few accidents, probably my fault as I'm not quite sure what signs she is giving me when she needs to go out.    She would make a great addition to an active family as she loves to run and jump, she would probably do well in agility as she is smart and quick.  I'll let you know more when I get a chance to know her a little better.

Here are some new pictures of Maggie.  The first picture didn't really do her justice.  She really does look like a golden in person, and definitely has the golden friendlyness and love of people.  She is easy to have around, she minds well, is housebroken and generally loves just being where ever her human is - not quite a velcro dog but she likes to be within sight of her human.
