Toes has made it to Apple Valley.  It has been a long drive from MO where little Ms. Toes was born 13 days ago.  Yes, you heard me - 13 days ago.  We are going to see if Shanna 07-245 will allow Toes to be part of her family for awhile.  But if she won’t, the foster family will be in charge and start feeding today - so far Shanna is feeding her, so let's keep hoping.

Toes weighed in at 1.6 pounds and did not get any shots, etc. at the vetting station in Golden Valley.  Instead, Toes was put back in the crate with Shanna and brought to the emergency room to hang out with Shanna and pups and the foster family.

Everything is going well with Toes; we now call her Bootsy since she’s a girl.  If you are interested in this pup, please email placementatragom [dot] org.  Bootsy is going to be a very special little girl in our hearts.

Christy and Joe are counting the days until Karma comes home.  I told Christy last night that I thought she should stay with us.  I don’t think Christy thought that was funny, but she knew we would never do that to her.

Last week Christy and Joe brought Karma a new collar and of course all the other puppies now pick on her because she has a real collar on.  So at night we take it off and then put it back on in the morning.  Okay Rick puts it back on when he remembers.

Karma found a fun new past time.  When we go out with all 11 puppies to run outside on the grass, Karma will head for this really steep grassy hill and run as fast as she can down it and then run/hop back up.  She does this several times a night when we go for our play time.  This helps her sleep a little better at night also.

Karma goes in for her final vet check tomorrow morning to be micro chipped and receive her first set of shots!  Poor baby will not be a happy girl tomorrow.  Karma now eats hard food and drinks water on her own.  Of course, we check her mouth several times a day just to make sure she is getting enough water.

One more update before this bundle of joy heads to her new home next week.  What a privilege it has been to foster and care for her.  We will always remember her with love and admiration.  She is definitely the one that got away…

Toes or Bootsy – Karma – is now 6 weeks old!  Can you believe this little girl will be going home in two short weeks?  Her mommy and daddy are often here visiting and they cannot believe how much she has changed since the first day they met her.

Karma went into the vet today and weighed 5 pounds.  Karma is by far the furthest advanced in the potty training.  As long as the screen door is open she will head out the door and start going to the hay to go potty.  That is pretty good for a little 6 week old pup.

Karma loves both her soft puppy food and her mom's hard food.  Now that Karma is moving a lot more she is finally starting to slim down and not look like a pear!  She is the most wonderful little girl.  But then again, all my puppies are wonderful.  I guess that is why we have fostered so many puppies in the past year.

Karma will head home in two short weeks!

Boots has her forever family and will be now called Karma – unless her name gets changed as her personality changes.  Christy and Joe are going to make great parents to our little orphan girl and they come to visit often.  Karma will have two other siblings to play with – Martini and Bella – how fun will that be?

Karma has the most incredible personality and she is so fun to watch and play with.  She is all puppy, constantly biting at her younger counterparts and pushing them over.  She has graduated from mush to soft food and is now learning how to drink out of a bowl - all the steps a 5 week old puppy has to master before she can go home with her forever family.

Karma has learned how to take the flying jump out the screen door to the deck, so when the door is open, she lets herself out to play on the deck.  With any luck she will continue going out the door and head to the straw to go potty.  Right now she makes it a few times a day.

I just wanted to thank everyone for loving this little girl and loving the story that goes along with it.  She will be so hard to let go and I know our home will have lots of tears, but the good part is, she will be loved and trained to be the best Golden around.

Christy and Joe – THANK YOU for loving Karma and visiting her often and getting ready to take your new baby home in a few weeks.

Bootsy found her new forever home.  She will be going to a home with 2 other dogs that are very loved and spoiled.  Bootsy is looking forward to spending the good life with Martini, Bella and mom and dad.

Bootsy is already a fun loving puppy.  She is always trying to play with the other little puppies that she is hanging out with.  I just hope she does not teach the other pups bad habits.

Bootsy still thinks she should be fed by the bottle.  When we are sitting in the puppy area she comes and gets in your lap and tries to take the bottle from the other pup.  It is really funny.

Bootsy will be with us for another 4 weeks, so just watch her grow!

Bootsy met the most wonderful people today!  When they left, she asked us if she was going to go home with them or stay at our home.  We reassured Bootsy that no matter where she goes, she will be loved forever and have the Golden life.  But for now, we have to wait 24 hours before we will know if this family wants her as much as we want to keep her in our family.

So keep your paws crossed, let’s hope Bootsy will have a family of her own when she is ready.  Now she says we need to get cracking on the rest of the fur babies.  Which we will next week now that all the pups are getting bigger and stronger!

Bootsy will be 4 weeks on Monday.  The time is just flying by and she is really flourishing with all of the attention she gets.  Ms. K is still Bootsy’s sponsor and Bootsy really appreciates you caring enough to sponsor her!

Bootsy is up and wandering around now, she eats mush and drinks formula out of a bottle.  We have been asked to keep her away from Shanna so her pups have a better chance of getting milk.  Bootsy goes in with Shanna and the pups when everyone is napping so she gets the dog on dog contact she needs too.  Bootsy LOVES the Newfs and I have attached a couple of pictures of her and Coal.

We are looking for her perfect home as we speak and we have lots of people interested in her, but remember we also have a lot of other puppies at our house, too.  So take a look and we will continue with updates as much as we can.

Bootsy is doing great – we were so hoping she would have hit 2 pounds by now but with Shanna’s set back, Bootsy gained no weight.  Bootsy is being formula fed at least 5 times a day and at 2 times per night.

Bootsy has the most incredible face we have ever seen.  She is very light in color and than has the darkest eyes and nose I have ever seen.  When she looks at you with her eyes you just melt.  Everyone who comes to visits the pups gravitates to this bathing beauty.  She has so stolen my heart and it is going to be very hard to hand her over to her very own family, but that is why we do this.  It is for the dogs and we love each and every one of them.

So please say a few more prayers for our Bootsy and let’s get her on the golden path and to her forever home before she makes me melt. She will be ready around June 15th.

Bootsy is doing pretty good.  Today she has not eaten much and that is worrying us so we have fed her more through a bottle.  She is constantly sleeping so we will keep a close eye on her for the next few days to make sure she does not lose weight and keeps getting stronger and stronger.

This little girl is so special and so sweet, Bootsy loves to be held and cuddled.  As soon as you put her in a blanket she sleeps right away.  It is so cute.

Bootsy has a wonderful sponsor and she really appreciates that from the bottom of her heart!  It means the world to all RAGOM dogs, but to be chosen to have a sponsor is an honor – thank you Ms. Katherine.

Mistee Bubbles the resident Newf here. Mom is busy with Shanna and the babies so I thought I would give you the real story on Ms. Bootsy. She is a very nice little girl for 2 weeks. Mom said today she almost weighed two pounds. I think that is good! However I heard Dad say she is drinking to much of the good stuff and not enough formula so now she has to come out in the afternoon and hang out with us big Newfs. Coal really likes this because Bootsy will curl up and just lay in all the hair to stay warm after mom feeds her. This makes Coal feel important during all this upheaval at the house. My role is to just keep everyone guessing when I will spaz out next. But Shanna really likes me and really does take good care of Bootsy.I heard Bootsy will be ready to go to her forever home mid June. That will be so nice for her. Mom also wanted to give a great big THANK YOU to Ms. Bootsy’s sponsor – wow a sponsor for a little orphan girl – that is so cool! Her Sponsor is Ms. Katherine M. Thanks for making Bootsy feel so special – she needs it!Okay well I better find out what is going on at the house since I hear a lot of puppy noise.Bye..Mistee Bubbles for Foster Mom and Dad.

Can you guess which one is Bootsy?
