3/31/07: This wonderful girl is fostered in North Dakota.  Miracle is a beautiful reddish/gold girl.  She has had pups within the last several months.  She is a good weight and is now eating well after not eating or drinking the first 2 days.  She had me worried, but now with canned food added to her kibble, she gobbles it down.  Miracle is a shy, frightened girl, but she is tolerating bathing, examination and hugs without a grumble or pulling away.  She has the most beautiful round brown eyes, they just pierce your soul.  There has been some pain in her life.  She has a deep scar around her neck where her chain collar was embedded - for how long she endured the pain, we'll never know.  The walks are what bring her to life.  She proudly prances with the lead in her mouth as her tail softly wags.  This is her true self and we are working to bring out that side.

Miracle says, “Thank you Ines M. and Robert Martin for sponsoring me.  I was a very scared girl 2 weeks ago.  Now I am getting to know what soft rugs, hugs, gentle hands and warmth are all about.  Your help will allow me to get all the care I need to prepare me for my forever home.  I am just beginning to understand there are gentle and caring people like you out there.”

Miracle is enjoying the easy life in our family room.  She will sit for you to pet her forever.  She has even started a gentle nose bump to remind you to continue.  She loves to be outdoors, and the pictures I will include show her in her glory.  She plays with Nevaeh's puppies very gently.  Her teats have shrunk down considerably in the last 2 weeks.  This makes me think she was not far from weaning when she was rescued.  She tolerates other dogs well and takes cues from them for coming up for attention or when to go in or out the door.  I believe she would do well to have furred friend in her new home.  She is really interested in our cats.  She will go up and attempt to play or sniff.  All she gets for her work is a spit and hiss, how rude!  She doesn't hold grudges, though.  She still startles easily, but has begun to trust me and when I tell her it's ok and call her back to me she comes.

Miracle wishes you all Hoppy Easter!

Miracle, "She has stolen my dignity by putting these totally unGolden ears on me!"

Miracle, "Now where did that kitty go?"
