And then there were two...Gwen and her sister Sunshine are the only ones left to still go to forever homes. Gwen went to the vet last week and had a good check up. She got some puppy shots and a microchip and weighed 13lbs at 8 weeks. Gwen has been more outgoing now that the rest of the siblings are gone, and even keeps the pace with Sunshine.. She has lots of personality and loves to play and snuggle.
She should be going to her forever home this week as well.

The pups have been to the vet yet again, and it was discovered that they have lice, to go along with the itchy sarcoptic mites they have. I gave all the pups a sulfur/lime dip because they are still to young to receive any other medications. It has been a couple days and all the pups are much improved, much less itching, and I am hopeful we got rid of the majority of the lice. We will follow up with another treatment (revolution) on Thursday, and the pups will begin to meet their prospective families in a week or so.
Here is Gwen. She had a check up on Thursday, and weighs 6lbs. She is growing perfectly, and got her first de-worming and a second dose of meds for the sarcoptic mange. We are hopeful that we will have this itchy business behind us in the next week or so. Gwen is a playful and quiet pup so far...but she likes to explore everything new and is outgoing like the rest of her 3 sisters!
