3/26/07: Meet Ollie!  He and his sister Scotch 07-143 joined our family in Hanover, MN last weekend.  They arrived tired and terrified, but are quickly adapting to family life.  Ollie prefers to watch his sister try new things first, but quickly warms up to new ideas and people.  Ollie was the first, however, to figure out a ball and what it is for.  It is so much fun to watch them experience new things and learn how to be dogs!!  He loves to sit next to our daughter's sandbox with her and chase her around the yard.  We can't wait to share him with his new family.

Thank you so much to Ollie's sponsors!  It is amazing how far he has come with so many people rooting for him!  A week ago he was a timid, shy pup who cowered in his crate if anything moved or made any kind of noise.  Today he is retrieving toys, tackling his sister, braving new faces and enjoying life.  Up until last night he wouldn't even think of going up or down stairs - that was, until his favorite ball rolled down the stairs.  After about 10 minutes of staring at it from the top of the stairs, he got up the courage and headed down, grabbed it and headed right back up.  We all had to laugh!  He has literally spent his waking hours today trotting up and down the steps all day! Ollie will make a great addition to a family who is willing to take a little extra time with him and not push him too fast.  He bonds quickly once he trusts you and stays right by your side.
