3/30/07: Rocky is so awesome; another Senior favorite of mine!  Rocky is 12 years old, neutered, and quite petite for a male dog.

As you can see from his photos, he loves to cuddle!  He is great with cats, fully housetrained, and very polite.  At 12 years old, he still has a lot of spunk left in him and LOVES-loves-loves to go for car rides and walks.  He doesn't seem to have any problem with his hips or knees, and jumps into vehicles (and into bed) just fine and doesn't tire out on
walks.

Rocky was vetted today and is now all current on his vaccinations.  One of my concerns for Rocky was what I thought was a black tumor on the top tip of his nose (see his close-up photo).  Well, silly me, it was just dried-up mud and the vet simply picked it off and grinned at me :) Rocky was apparently rutting around chasing critters at his previous
home in SD to get that dirt on his nose, because Rocky also tested positive for tape worms (eeeeewwwwww!!!), which are only contracted when eating other critters who have worms. 

He also has a toenail that looks to have had a bit of trauma but will be fine, and an exposed tooth nerve that may or may not cause him problems; the vet was able to touch it without reaction so we'll just have to see.  Rocky is a bit of a fussy eater and tends to prefer canned dog food or boiled ground turkey to dry kibble, but who wouldn't, right?!?
