I am so very sad to let you know that Xena, princess warrior puppy, left this world last Saturday, February 18 at age 10 1/2 years old after a very happy life with her adopted family (us!). We adopted Xena (named Audie by RAGOM) in October 2001 at 4 months old from a wonderful foster family from Watertown, South Dakota. She immediately squirmed her way into our hearts and lives.

Xena was so smart and incredibly good-hearted. She learned to fetch slippers and the newspaper, which was fabulous on snowy or rainy days. She carried out the trash and when we told her the pizza guy was coming she would go into her kennel and wait quietly for the doorbell to ring. She loved her people and had the best heart ever.

We have been in tears due to hole she will leave in our hearts everyday. Below are some of the photos we have taken of her over the years for others to enjoy.
