Our beautiful golden/collie mix Bella went to the Rainbow bridge on 12/19. We adopted her from RAGOM on 11/10/01. Her name was Penny then, but she was so beautiful, she was born to be Bella. She came home to live with us, our other GR Ripley and 2 cats on 11/24/01. She was a loving, gentle, beautiful girl and we are heartbroken. Her dad and I divorced 3 years ago and we shared custody since neither of us could bear to not be with her. Bella was thrilled to have 2 houses where she could come and be treated like the princess she was.

Last November she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma and the day before Thanksgiving she underwent surgery to remove her left front leg. She was a smart girl and learned so quickly how to hop around on her three legs and in 3 days was up and down stairs with no problem. We had her for another wonderful year until the cancer finally was too much for her. She was active and loving life up until the day before she went to the Rainbow Bridge. It's just unbearable but we had 10 perfect years with our girl.

We are so thankful that RAGOM let Bella be a part of our lives and we both are hoping to adopt from RAGOM again someday.
