Star 02-290

Profile

Star is here. She is a year old, about 50 pounds, fine boned and blonde! She could slim down just a little, so she really is a petite little girl. I gave her a bath today and she seems to be settling in good. Last night after we got home she snuggled up on the couch with me and within minutes was snoring! What a love bug! She is good with children and has been raised around children 9 and 12 years old. She loves to chase tennis balls and carry them around. She goes good in the crate and slept the night without a noise. We go to the vet next, so I will update after that!

Dear Ragom,

We are heartbroken to write that our beloved Star (#02-290), adopted from RAGOM in 2002, died suddenly yesterday at the age of 10. We believe she may have suffered a bad seizure soon before we woke up in the morning.

Star was a wonderful dog from the day we brought her home and we will miss her dearly. Although by age she was a senior golden, she had the energy and exuberance of a puppy. She loved going on long hikes in the woods, running around crazily in the backyard, and a cuddling up with us for a good head and tummy rub.

She was sweet and gentle with our children, who often read to her, played fetch and chase games with her, and buried her in stuffed animals. Star was such a good girl with a true golden personality. We are devastated to lose her, but so thankful for the nearly ten years we got to spend with her.

Many of these pictures are from the last couple of weeks. There is some comfort in knowing she had a happy life right up until her final day and didn’t suffer long in her final moments. Dear, sweet Star, you had a beautiful spirit and you were a very good girl. We will remember you always.
