Crissy arrived a week ago having had a very long trip up from Missouri. Crissy came from a puppy-mill where at the tender age of two years she had already had two litters and two c-sections! Like most of these sweethearts who come from puppy-mills, she is very shy and leery of people. Every experience is new for them and their temperaments are very sweet and forgiving - Crissy is no exception to that rule. After a week, she now follows me everywhere and is well aware of where the "cookie jar" is located. She is very friendly with my other dogs (3 females) and trying to get the hang of this playing thing. So far she knows if she comes across a toy, she should take it and hide it. Crissy is scheduled to be spayed this coming Thursday and I will have another update after that.

We adopted Crissy in 2003 and added Parker in 2011.  They are the best of buddies!  They love playing and looking for chipmunks in the backyard.  I caught them in a "Kodak moment" as they paused to listen for the chipmunk they were chasing and luckily I had my iPhone with me. When we say "chipmunks!", Crissy gets excited and she bounces her front feet up and down or clicks her teeth as we open the door for the dogs to go outside.  Parker has a strategic approach, he runs to the deck railing and scans the backyard before heading down the stairs to look for them.
