Dear Ragom, I didn’t realize I could let you know until I dug a little deeper in the website, but our beloved Daisy (formerly known as Ashland) crossed over the rainbow bridge on Friday, July 15 at 5:40 p.m. One of the saddest days of our lives. We loved her so much .....she was our true true joy. Needless to say we miss her terribly, just an enormous void in our lives. We talk about her all the time and laugh and cry. We laugh because only we knew her like no one else and she was really hysterical in her own little way. No other dog was loved more . So I could go on and on of course. But I would be remiss in not thanking you in all you do...you are a truly wonderful organization and have saved thousands of goldens and we couldn’t be more grateful. But mostly thank you for bringing us our little Daisy girl, she will be forever in our hearts. We have recently applied for another golden and hope and pray that another wonderful little girl will bless our lives. Once again, thank you.

Ashland arrived yesterday. She is such a love – rode the whole trip cuddling with one of our volunteers. She is small and blonde. She was a stray that came into an animal shelter in Missouri and is very thin. She is stinky and covered with mats, has scabs on her back, very long nails, but there is a huge heart of gold inside this dog. She is gentle and loving and very calm. She stands up and hugs me – with any other dog, I might say that they are jumping up on me, but Ashland just gently stands up and hugs me with her front paws. She knows “sit” and “down”. I haven’t had a chance to find out if she knows “come”, as she hasn’t gotten far enough away from me for me to even tell her to “come”. She sticks right next to me, touching me, sitting down in front of me and gazing up with her beautiful brown eyes.
