Sorry I have taken so long to get the info in on Lady. I guess selling my house, trying to work, and entering the Golden foster world was pushing my limits a little. But, it was worth it, because I have had the pleasure of getting to know Miss Lady! She is the most awesome dog! I picked her up July 31st from her surrendering family. They had just had baby #4 and didn't seem to have enough time for Lady anymore. Or room in their house, so she was living in their garage! She has adapted to the "spoiled" life very quickly! This weekend we went to the lake and she was in heaven - boating, swimming, and chasing chipmunks! She's been diligently working at tearing all the ears off her stuffed animals, but other than that hasn't touched anything else in the house! No accidents either! She loves kids and is OK with cats unless they decide to play "tag" and run! Then she seems to feel it's her duty to "follow", but hasn't "caught" yet. If they don't run, she's OK just to sniff and be curious. She gets along great with my 2 other dogs and has even enticed them to exercise a bit and run with her in the yard. It's been great for my 2 senior guys. Lady is extremely affectionate, loves to cuddle and give kisses! I'd love to see her with a stay at home family, since she seems to have a little separation anxiety when she's left alone. She has had free roam of my home and hasn't had any problems. She has a big, tender heart and with a little training I think she might be a great therapy/companion dog. She certainly loves to please!!!
P.S. Lady is a beautiful red/golden girl, @ 58 lbs, and has a wonderful smile! She goes in to be spayed Thursday morning and after recovery she will be ready to start looking for that special family to love her!
