We are calling this little girl "Minnie" Pearl. She is a Cocker Spaniel/Golden Retriever mix and is a petite girl. She is a little wider than she should be and will be going on a diet and getting lots of exercise to help her regain her girlish figure. The shelter had named her Rusty, but I think that's a boy's name, plus she doesn't answer to it, and she comes running when we call "Minnie."
She is an adult dog with a little white around the brows. Her teeth are pretty good with very little tartar, so I'm guessing maybe 7 or so, though we should get a better idea when she visits the vet. Minnie is a little nervous around other dogs and would prefer to be the only dog. She loves to be petted and will roll right over to have her tummy rubbed. She runs all over the yard without a huff or a puff and yet is small enough she could easily fit into any size house and yard. She doesn't chew on anything except dog bones and is pretty easy to have share your home.
