This beautiful girl and 11 other dogs (plus cats, a goat and a horse) were rescued after their owner died. All the animals had been kept in small crates or on short tie-outs without much people interaction so at times, Daisy Mae is extremely shy and exhibits some "puppy mill" behaviors. Fortunately, she has no problem with going in/out of doorways so I keep the back door ajar and she loves the freedom of being able to run outside to do her business or lay in the sun for a few minutes before scampering back to my side. Of course, I watch her from the window and always welcome her back with a "good girl" so her big fluffy tail is in constant rotation. BTW, she loves to be groomed. She is startled by unfamiliar noises or sudden movements and curls up with resident dog in back of the sofa to hide from the scary sounds and images on TV. We're working on a separation anxiety issue, but who can blame her for wanting attention after being lonely for her entire life?Daisy Mae needs a forever home with someone who is there a majority of the time, will socialize her, take her to obedience training (she has had none), and she'd really like a family who has another dog or two to cuddle up with.Contact placement
