We kept our date at the nursing home this week--the seniors loved her. Annie was so calm and gentle as she walked up closely to each wheel chair so the residents could reach down and pet her head. One lady was so overcome with joy that tears filled her eyes while she scratched Annie under her chin. We have an invitation to visit again tomorrow during their Sing-A-Long.
Yesterday, Aubee, 05-007, 3.5 month old puppy, came to play with Annie for a few hours until his new foster dad Paul came by to pick him up. The two of them had a blast! They tired themselves out so much that Annie zonked out almost before their car left the driveway, and Paul said that Aubee didn't make a peep all the way home to Fargo.
We spent most of this snowy Sunday outside--Annie had great fun burrowing herself in the snow and racing around the backyard while I shoveled. It was pretty funny to see her toss a ball in the air and then try to find it in a snowdrift. She totally tired herself out and is now fast asleep at my feet.
Nothing but good stuff to report on Annie. She is an absolute treasure and we'll miss her very much when she goes to her forever family.
