Hi everyone -- it's me, Calvin! Happy Thanksgiving!
Foster mom has some new pictures to send in and said that I am a big boy and could write my own update. She also said that taking pictures of puppies is hard and if you would like to see an up close photo of my nose, or one of my fluff butt running away to let her know because she has a lot of them. Enough about mom's photography skills, more about me!
I wanted to write a list of things that I am thankful for today...
I am thankful for the Chillicothe Humane Society in Missouri who took me in, kept me safe, and cared for me before I made the trip to Minnesota.
I am thankful for the S family for loving me A LOT and taking care of me while I was a young puppy. Who knew that a puppy could be so lucky?
I am thankful for water -- I love water!
I am thankful for all of the RAGOM supporters who donate money to pay for things like my vaccinations.
I am thankful for all the people who I have met as a young puppy that have helped me with what foster mom keeps calling "socialization."
I am thankful for food -- yum, food!
I am thankful for my Golden foster brother who plays with me.
I am thankful for all of my toys. Chew toys, tug toys, stuffed toys. Toys, toys, toys!!
I am thankful for RAGOM -- I love being a RAGOM dog and knowing that I will be taken care of for the rest of my life.
I am a really thankful puppy, but I would be especially thankful if foster mom would give me some of the turkey (hint, hint!).
I am 13 weeks old now and working very hard to learn all there is to know about being the best dog ever. I think house training is going pretty well, if I do say so myself. It's still a work in progress, but I'm starting to get the hang of it. I had to learn how to "do stairs" this week. Foster mom had me watch the big dogs and helped me a few times, but now she makes me do them all by myself and won't carry me anymore. I have totally mastered the 3 stairs into the house from the backyard, but the stairs to the bedroom are hard work. I really like water. In fact, I would swim in the water bowl if I thought I could get away with it. I hear that in the summer dogs get to swim in lakes and rivers and that some lucky dogs even get their very own kiddie pool in the backyard. I hope I get a kiddie pool! At night I sleep in my crate for about 6 hours and then I need to go potty. After a trip outside I get to sleep on the bed with everyone else. That's the best part of the night!
I am just hanging out in foster care, getting lots of love but waiting for some special people to adopt me. I have watched most of my brothers and sisters go to their forever homes and I am just waiting for MY family. If you want to love me forever, please contact placement
