9/9/05: Veda is a 10 to 12 month old female that may be pregnant. Veda is showing the signs of being pregnant but we'll know more after her Vet visit next week. Veda came from South Dakota - her owner was moving to Hawaii and could not take her along. The owner had tried to find Veda a new home but couldn't, so she had mentioned to one of her co-workers that if she couldn't find a home for her before she left, she was going to have to put Veda to sleep. The wonderful co-worker could not let that happen and that is how Veda came into Ragom.

Veda is a small Golden (or Golden mix), that has a sweet temperament and is easy to have around. She had a bath last night and was not real happy about the experience. She did like to get scrubbed down and especially liked the rub down after the bath was done, but did not like the water on her. Our little Veda girl is just a sweet smelling little beauty now!!! I hope to send in pictures of her soon. You'll learn more about Veda after her Vet visit next week.

We took the puppies to the vet yesterday. They are all doing fine - all ten of them. We never thought that Veda would have ten puppies. She didn't get very big but all the puppies are good sized. The vet agrees that they are either Rott or Shepherd, but we won't know until their bodies start forming. Veda is a very good mom, but as any mom she likes her time outside to get a little break.

NO PUPPIES YET !!! Veda hasn't had her puppies yet, but she has certainly been filling out. Her appetite has really improved too, and she is eating good. Can't wait for the puppies to come!!!

Veda went on a camping trip this month. She loved roaming through the woods. She'd make a great companion for someone who likes to take walks in the forest.
