Anna 05-241

Profile

8/15/05: Anna is here and what a sweetie she is! We had a two hour car ride home and she laid with her head between the front seats almost the whole time. Anna is the first foster dog in a very long time that has been able to walk right in my house without stopping for a bath! She looks and smells great! We really aren’t sure just how old Anna is. The vet she was seeing in Wisconsin thought she was between 12 and 14. She acts more like she’s 5 or 6 though!! Anna is a very pretty red with a distinguished white face and a very soft coat. She met my daughter, dogs and cats without incident. She was hesitant to come upstairs with me, but only until I patted my leg and said “come on.” She’s made herself right at home under the computer desk as I sit here and type this. I’ll get Anna in to the vet for a checkup yet this week and also get some pictures taken. More to come on Anna as we get to know each other!

Hello Ragom Friends,

We wish to let you know that we had to say goodbye to our dear Anna last night. Anna was almost 15 and had been having more and more struggles. Last night she began bleeding from her nose and mouth and the vet couldn't get it to stop. We made the very difficult decision to let her go. Knowing she is relaxed and comfortable and able to move freely brings us comfort but we are very sad.

She was the very best dog. Our first dog for our family of young boys. She taught us how to have a dog and love a dog and we know she will always be very special to us. As are you, Ragom. You always say, "once a Ragom dog always a Ragom dog". We hope to always be a Ragom family as we so greatly appreciate what you do for these beauties and how you bring such joy to families like ours.

We know our family will not be without a dog for long. We will be in touch. Thanks, again to Cindy who helped place Anna with us and Michelle for fostering her. She was a real gem.
