Zoe 06-556

Profile

12/21/06: Zoe is a nine month old purebred Golden. She arrived this evening and met our two year old male Golden without any issues. They get along perfectly and I think it might have been love at first sight for both of them.

After reviewing Zoe?s vet records, it is very apparent she was well taken care of. She is current on all of her shots and is already spayed. She weighs about 60 pounds and she seems to have no health issues. I will take her to the vet sometime in the next few days to have a quick check-up. I'll write more as we get to know Zoe better (and get some better pictures of her too!). It?s easy to tell that with a little time and training she?ll be a wonderful addition to some lucky family.

Zoe is a joy to have around! She is very well behaved, especially considering she’s only 9 months old. She’s a very happy dog and loves everyone. Zoe spent 3 days with another foster family while we were traveling for Christmas. She was very good for them as well (thanks Linda and Alan!).

Zoe had a vet appointment last weekend. Just as we thought, she is very healthy. She does have a slight case of mites. These mites are not contagious and are easy to treat. She’ll needs an ointment put on the spot once a day until it clears up. Zoe weighs 64 pounds, so she is on the smaller side.

Zoe is crate trained. She doesn’t go in on her own, but will go in if a treat is tossed in first. She sleeps in her crate all night and we don’t hear a peep out of her. We also crate her if we are gone during the day. She hasn’t chewed anything inappropriate yet, but given her age I’m guessing that’s a possibility if left unsupervised! I can’t imagine this girl will be with us long. If you are an approved applicant and would like to meet Zoe, please email placementatragom [dot] org. She’d love to meet you and maybe even find a forever family to begin the New Year with!
