7/9/06: Max arrived at his temp foster home very scared and smelly. He has had one bath but still smells. I believe is about 5.5 years of age. I don't think he has ever been on a leash and actually slipped through his collar and got away temporarily, but thanks to my neighbor he didn't get far. When he is on the leash he has the army crawl going to move (belly to the ground). I'm thinking a home with a fence might be needed for this guy. We have been able to get him to eat only a few delicious treats but he will not take dog food. His coat is dark red and kinda in rough shape, probably due to diet and living outside. His coat is also very thick but I think there is a lean trim dog under it. He seems to love attention, is a little timid at first but then soaks it up. He has a face that will make you melt. He has done well with my dogs so far. He is in a house I think for the first time and was hesitant at the door but with some persuasion he came in, although I put him in a kennel right away, so I have no idea if he is housetrained. He spent the early evening out on the deck as we had family over for a cookout and he did well with all the people around. He is going to the vet tomorrow to get updated on his shots and neutering, but I am not telling him that. We'll send more information and hopefully some pics after his vet visit.
