Sam has really adjusted well. He, of course, is the ball player of all ball players - extremely agile and super fast for an 8 year old. Sam is extremely healthy and needs a home with someone there most all of the time. He is somewhat stubborn :) but is quite obedient. He does know how to open storm doors and usually finds the first child that has a ball, but always comes back! Sam would like a forever companion. He loves rides and is a perfect gentleman in the car and will follow you anywhere.

Sammy does not get too excited about anything except playing ball. He is quite subdued. I took him to my Mother's farm where we have lots of woods and a small river (more like a creek) with some man-made ponds my stepdad made. He is awesome in the water. We had 4 dogs out there that day and he was the fastest, most athletic dog out there. Everybody was amazed at his quickness and ability to stay in the water to find the stick we had thrown for him. As an 8 year old dog his stamina is incredible. He is more like a 3 year old. He loves to be outside and really won't come in without some coaxing. Sam is a wonderful loving dog and is very loyal. We have only seen a couple episodes of his SA and they were very mild and nothing severe. He does whimper when you leave but with the other 2 dogs around he just settles right down. Sam has a lot of years ahead of him and would make a great companion for anyone who can spend a lot of time with him.
