This is Badger and little Marigold (Maple!). I was lucky enough to "babysit" Marigold over Thanksgiving and Badger thought he'd died and gone to heaven. They were tied at the hip for the whole week! Wherever Badger was, little Merry was right there - ready to romp and roll! They were both previously having "nipping" issues, but during Merry's stay the nipping was reserved just for each other in play! What a relief for me!
They were both impressed with the first snow, rolling and biting it. The two of them are alike in that they both LOVE being outdoors, so we spent a lot of time in the yard running and playing - you know - puppy stuff! Merry is now 13 weeks old - a very outgoing toddler - quite the match for Badger, our 8 month old adolescent wanna-be. Both have energy I'd give a limb for! (We had to have a few time outs for MY sake!)
Now that Merry has gone home, Badger seems a little bored. Obviously I don't hold a candle to his playmate. The two had a bath during Merry's stay (after a romp through the stinky pond!), so Badger's fur is soft and fluffy now. He's still so much a puppy!
Badger has recuped very well from his neuter, so now we look towards his surgeries for his hips. Soon we will be taking a trip to the U for a consult. He doesn't seem to be in any pain now, but maybe as he gets older? He's a sweetheart, talkative, and has a solid spot in my heart right now. He's available for the right family to adopt. They will have to be special, as he is a special needs kinda guy! He will give back tenfold in a lifetime of love, tho'! More later!
