Hello all,

As you probably know I got a new puppy named Murry. So if Murry and I have not stopped by to see you yet we would like to! Murry is very playful and has a strong personality so we are both competing for the Alpha Male spot. Murry will start Kindergarten this Saturday, so we are both very excited to continue with socilization and learning new things. Murry's favorite toy is a Warthog which make a funny noises when he lays on it. Murry's favorite treat is knee-caps (cow).

On Murry's second day in his new home, Murry (AKA Slick) held his own with the neighbor Spaniel 3x his size. He did not submit! once to what looked to be a formidable dog. Way to go TROY! I am trying to stay away from tug-of-war because he now likes to pull on his leash. I have been reading "The Monks of New Skete, The Art of Raising A Puppy." This is a great book that has helped me to better communicate with Murry (AKA Slick). Murry loves the outdoors. We have traveled on many trails not known to many. Murry and I have started our relationship on solid ground but not without help from Heidi (girlfriend) who has helped me considerably in Murry's training and photo shoots (Mr. Murry Model). If you would like to help me in the raising of Murry by offering your suggestions/experiences with training etcetera, I would most appreciate to hear about them. For now Murry and I say over and out dear friends.

Sincerely,

Michael G and Murry Model

Slick made it safely to his new foster home. He has made himself right at home...found the toybox and likes what he finds. He's not intimidated by my younger dog at all (which may not be the smartest move, but so far he's only been barked and growled at)...he's boldly explored my yard and now is boldly exploring the main level of my house. He is adorable! He has white feet and a white tip to his tail, plus some white markings on his face and otherwise is medium gold in color. He weighs about 25 pounds if my scale is right. He's not only met my two guys, but he's met the neighbor's noisy Lab...and wants to play with everyone. He's not too interested in the rabbit cage, he's much more interested in emptying the toy box....and exploring. More later as I get to know this little guy.

Slick has survived the holidays and now wants to go online to find his forever home. He went to the vet this week and everything went well - he needs to finish up some antibiotics this week and then he should be good til his next set of shots in about a month.

He has that typical puppy energy and plays rambunctiously with my dog Sally, who seems to enjoy tossing him about and then lets Slick bite on her for awhile. We go for walks in the woods on leash, and he is not afraid of anything - he tromps through the snow like a big dog. He seems to have a great nose, I think he might make a good hunting dog. But nevertheless he is social, friendly and handsome. He'll make a great pet.
