Riley 05-04-069

Profile

Riley arrived in Oxford, Iowa on Saturday, July 2nd from Minneapolis. He was originally known as Hewey 04-069 when first adopted in April of 2004. Riley's owner became ill and could no longer care for him, and was adopted a second time in December of 2004. Riley was surrendered by this very nice woman, who presently has too many family responsibilities and is unable to spend enough time with him.

Riley is a wonderful dog and I cannot believe how well he has adjusted to my family. He greeted everyone warmly and plays with the Dachshunds and cats eagerly. Rita, my other foster, is very shy and Riley has helped her overcome some of her issues, such as readily coming in the house.

Riley will make a wonderful family member. He is 18 months old and a very big boy at 90 lbs. Riley is also very tall which makes it easy for him to "counter surf" if he wished - which he doesn't. Riley has had some obedience and will sit, shake and lay down on command. Riley does not jump or seem to have any bad habits. Riley is very happy to sit in the yard and comes eagerly when called. He loves toys but shares with everyone else without complaint. Riley has a lot of energy and I think will do best in a home where he gets a chance to run or play a lot. Riley deserves a forever home once and for all!
