12/09/06: Captain is here safe and sound. He is a young 2-3 year old reddish male with a blocky head. He is a bit skinny, but will be beautiful after he's added about five pounds. He came from a family who had an 18 month old and a three week old baby. They felt they couldn't give Captain the attention he needed so they contacted RAGOM.

Captain is a typical young Golden with a great loving personality and a lot of teenager energy. We went for a big run this morning, and he is now feeling calm. His vet visit went well. He is very healthy except for the usual ear infections. He will be neutered on Monday, Dec. 11th.

He knows how to come when called, he sits and he knows down. He would be easy to train because he is very affectionate and treat motivated. Also, the cutest thing so far is that he LOVES getting bathed! I put him in the tub and he stood still with a look on his face of pure joy and I washed him. It was very cute.

I'll learn more about Captain in the coming days and think about what kind of family would be best for him. Pictures coming soon.
