7/29/05: Hello All!

My name is Chip. I was recently found by a very friendly woman, who contacted my fosters because she knew they volunteered for RAGOM. The fosters came out to meet me and fell in love! They took me home with them and I am in heaven.

A little about myself: I am a 7 month old male, I think. Actually, I know I'm a male (see neuter reference below)....it's the age thing I'm not positive about :) I was found on a gravel road with my brother Dale 05-215. I went to the vet today and got all of my shots. I weigh 54 lbs. I am scheduled to get neutered next Friday. I am a very playful and friendly guy who loves to meet new people. I have been in the house now for three days and have not had an accident yet. I really love being a RAGOM dog because of all the love and treats and love and air conditioning, and love and medical care....did I mention the love?? My perfect family is anyone! Attached are some pictures of me. I will write more when my fosters let me. Since it is Friday night, I gotta have a bath.

What can I say about Dakota? He is doing great! He still thinks he can be a lap dog, though!! And likes to snuggle in bed with us. He enjoys playing with the resident dog and Sophie 05-298 if she lets him :) He walks around the house with a stuffed animal in his mouth, then goes up to the dogs or humans to see if they will play tuggy with him. We continue to work on basic commands, sit and come. Dakota would greatly benefit from obedience training!

Hello, Hello, Hello!

That's what everyone says to me when they see me; and why not? With a face like mine you have to expect some amount of lovin'. Things are going great for me here. I am getting along with my other foster sibs. I love to play and chase my foster sister Hanna. I enjoy fetch and playing tug. I am still learning the basic commands though. Yesterday I tried this thing called a Gentle Leader. I didn't care for it too much, but am getting used to it. I really enjoy trying to sit on my foster parents' lap while they are watching TV.

My ideal home is pretty much anything and any place. I will need some training though so that you can truly see how wonderful a dog I can become. I am to training what people are to the Army: I want to be all that I can be! Attached is a picture of me being my normal lovable self....in the kitchen.....where the food drops......(get it!??!).

Look at this face.....what a face! This is Dakota and he is back in Alexandria. He is a former RAGOM dog that came back in because he had too much energy. We are glad to have him back. Dakota is about 1 year old and is neutered. He loves to play fetch and tug. He is house and crate trained. He is getting along with his foster sister Hanna and Sophie. He loves to play with other dogs. We have only had him back one night and he has adjusted nicely. We are working to reinforce his basic commands, but he will need additional training. More later as we get re-acquainted.

Hello from Chip,

What a time we have been having with him. He is all puppy. We call him Chip the 'instigator' because if there is mischief to get into, he will find it :)

Chip has been to the vet and is up to date on all his shots, micro-chipped and neutered. Chip gets along very well with other dogs and loves to play fetch. We are making progress on house training and the 'sit' command. Chip has run of our bedroom at night and has had no accidents. Chip has been in his crate for up to four hours and has not had a accident there either.

Chip is a true Golden and what a lover he is. He loves to sit next to people and meet them, give kisses and play fetch. He is ready for his forever home. Are you up for some puppy love and hyjinks?
