It's been WAY too long since I've sent you an update on Kai, so I wanted to send you a detailed one!! Below this email is a link to a ton more pictures on snapfish, so you can see many many more fun pictures of our "Kai Guy" (Lindsey likes to call him "Kai Guy the Fry Guy").

So, Kai is doing soooooo well. He is the biggest joy in our lives and we are thankful every day to have him in our family!! Can you believe its been two months already?? He's 32 pounds now, which means he's doubled in size between those two pictures above!! Here are some updates on the last couple months...

Unlike poor little Neko, Kai LOVES his crate. He actually prefers to sleep in the crate than with us!! One night we wanted him to sleep in our bed with us and he laid there for a little while and then got up and whined at the end of the bed until we let him down and he went strait to his crate! He is growing all the time, not only in size, but in personality, and it's soooo fun to see. He was our little mellow pup at home and then a bundle of energy every time he saw other people or dogs. It was pretty funny...he was probably the most hyper dog at puppy kindergarten (which he has graduated already), and then at home, he was ALWAYS mellow! Lately, he definitely has more energy, even at home, than he used to. We love it because he's still not that SUPER hyper type; he's just fun!

As the weeks passed, we noticed him getting more and more comfortable with us and we're sure now that he knows we're his parents (which is so fun to see)! He now gives us hugs and kisses every time he sees us. His hugs are so cute...he runs up to us and turns to the side and presses against our legs and kisses our hands as face as we pet him!! He's also so much better and wanting to be closer to us when we're hanging out (remember how he wasn't the biggest cuddler?). He used to prefer to lay on a blanket in the same room, but not by us (or right next to a door, cause he loved feeling the breeze come in through the crack). Then, he started laying on the couch, but still not next to us. Now, he likes to lay right by us (and sometimes ON us), but only for a little while at a time...he's so funny. Last night, though, was the best. I was laying on the couch and he laid down ON me and I started hugging and petting him and he fell asleep on my belly for 30 whole minutes!!! This was BY FAR a record for him and it was GREAT for me!!!

As far as potty training goes, it's been a couple weeks since the last accident (which happened after a few weeks of no accidents as well)...knock on wood. We understand that he won't be officially potty trained for a couple more months, though, so we know it's normal. For the most part, though, he's doing great with that. Plus, what's really nice is he goes right away every time we take him outside!!

Some fun commands Kai can follow for treats are sit, down, stay, shake (which is so cute!), stand, come AND the best is we can get him to stay then we walk away, put a treat down on the floor, walk back to him and wait a couple seconds, then say "okay" and he goes to get the treat! We thought that was pretty amazing that he would wait to get the treat!!

Kai gets to see Neko pretty much every week and sometimes twice a week. We call her his girlfriend because they fight and then they're cute and then they fight again, but at the end of the night they're laying by each other and loving life (as you can see in the pictures below). These are my two favorite pictures of them...

Hello, Jester here – so, I am just wondering where my family is? All of my brothers and sisters have been adopted. I know my Foster Dad does not want to let me go and keeps telling me to be bad when I meet a family, but I really do want a family to call my own. Could you be that special family?

My good qualities are: Fun, Loving Puppy, seeks fun loving family to train me and love me. I go potty outside (most of the time), love playing for 15 to 25 minutes at a time and then want to nap. Love to be held and cuddled. I could go with a family that has a dog or I could be a single dog family as long as you love me like I want to be loved. I love to play catch, but don’t expect me to bring it back to you, I am way too young. I just want a family of my own so badly, are you my family?

Foster mom said I found my voice this past weekend. I am not sure what that means, but I know when it is time to eat – I can talk up a storm and I hate waiting for Foster Dad to get the food for the Newfs – because lets face it, they eat a ton of food so it takes Foster Dad forever – hello, think of us little guys, we are starving – I am the one usually underneath a Newf getting lost!

So that is all that is new, Foster Mom has more pictures of me – imagine that – the camera is constantly going! So if you're already an approved app, e-mail placementatRagom [dot] com and let's meet (or go online now to apply). I need a family to call my own because I am so darn cute!

Bye from Jester, yea, please change my NAME!

Happy Valentine's Day from Jester. Jester is getting bigger everyday and it amazes me we have had him for three weeks now. He is the cutest little thing around. I believe he weighs about 13 pounds now. He is doing wonderful with potty training – however I am very diligent about making sure he goes out when he gets up and after play time. He is whining at the door – most of the time. But he is a pup and we still have accidents.

Jester loves his crate and has no problem sleeping in it at night – or sleeping on the bed with us if it is too early to start our day. He immediately goes to sleep when we bring him there. I know, bad habit, but he is so darn sweet! Jester has really started to play on his own with toys now and loves to CHEW – so lots of toys at his new house are a must. We are working on "sit" when we get fed and that is coming along and we are also sitting before he goes out potty.

We have some new pictures so you can see how much he has grown and he is starting to get a little darker in color now. He is no longer snow white, but has a nice light tan on the top of his back and ears.

Jester still loves to go out and play on the deck, even when he is by himself he will entertain himself with bones and ropes. He lets us know when it is time to come in by pawing at the door. However, he does his business as soon as he walks outside, which is great when you want to go to bed. Speaking of bedtime – Jester has taken up a 3:00 am potty break but does go right back to sleep. I think this is partly my fault since I have also taken up the 3:00 am potty break. I guess I need to break both of us from this habit.

Jester has come into his own since his big brother Blaze left. He has learned how to play nicely with all the Newfs and is sleeping much better in his crate at night. In fact, we went from 10 to 5 again last night. Jester loves following my son and his friends around the house when they get home from school.

Jester's potty training is going fantastic. He is now whining loudly at the door. We had no accidents yesterday at all and for the past week all have been right in front of the door, so I was not quick enough. The nice thing about Jester is he does his business right away, he then will go out to the hay bales and play, but once I open the door he comes a running to get inside with the Newfs.

I honestly can not say enough about this boy, he loves to cuddle now, sleep well and eats great. We are starting to work on basic commands like "sit" and "four on the floor". He does not jump much but we want to make sure he does not practice this.

Jester went to the Vet yesterday and got a glowing review! He has no worms, his heart sounds great, he is in perfect shape and even his potty training has improved. What more can you ask for in a little guy! Jester is now 8 weeks old and 10 pounds. He is growing like a weed.

His brother went to a new foster home yesterday and he was a little sad, but I tell you he really plays nice with the Newfoundland’s and slept ALL night last night. I think Jester and Blaze where not such a great fit to have both, because Jester is so wonderful now. The nipping has even stopped.

Mistee the so-called Newfoundland and Jester play great, but Jester told Mistee that it is time he found a family of his own. I don’t think Mistee really agrees with that idea, but she will adjust. So are you looking for a whitish Golden? Are you looking for someone special to share your time with? Boy, do I have the guy for you. Contact Placementatragom [dot] org and they will get ahold of Jester so you can meet. More pictures tomorrow.

Where does the time go? Jester is doing great and he is starting to learn that being picked up and loved is really fun. He will actually sit at your feet now and want you to pet him. Potty training is going pretty well, too. He cries at the sliding glass door to go out, but you have to be fast.

Jester’s favorite game is still "pick on my brother" but even that is now starting to calm down and toys are the middle ground. Night time sleeping is still not the best but we are getting there. I think it is because Blaze is sleeping with him and they get on each other's nerves. I am getting up about every 3 to 4 hours to let them out and they go right back in the crate. I never hear a peep after that.

If you are interested in my cute Jester – just look at these new pictures! Please contact placementatragom [dot] org. I know he or Blaze would LOVE to find his new family.

Jester has arrived in beautiful Apple Valley and is doing well. Jester has this beautiful white coat of fur that is short. He is very soft though and plump, Jester probably weighs close to 9 pounds at 7 weeks. Yes, he can handle his weight in, no problem.

I have both Jester and Blaze 06-026, Blaze tends to beat up on Jester so Blaze must have been the brut of the crowd. I am sure his foster mom was ready to give up all the kids so she could get a good night's sleep.

I will be able to tell you more about Jester's temperament in the next few days, but just wanted everyone to know that he is out and looking for his forever home. If you would like to meet this boy, please email placementatragom [dot] org and we can set up a meeting.
