Winston 06-534

Profile

12/3/06: Winston arrived in Duluth at 10:00 last night after a very long trip from Boone, Iowa. We were having a little neighborhood get together and Winston was the hit of the party. People were arguing over who would get to take him home. He is a charmer. The trip left him with a high energy level since he had been a car for a long time. He had a couple of accidents but we think that it was just the new surroundings. No issues this morning. He tells us when he needs to go out. He lets us touch him anywhere and doesn't seem to have any issues with that. We suspect that Winston is not his original name since he was a stray. He comes when he is called. Thanks go to the Boone Area Humane Society for contacting RAGOM about him. We are not sure about his age. The intake says 7 years old but we will try to get a better guess when he goes for his checkup. Winston is sitting here beside me as I write this. He is a loving, sweet boy, very much wanting to love a forever family. In fact he is only letting me use one hand to type. The other is petting him. He is a sweetheart.

Winston had his dental work done and a removal of the epulus. The pathology report came back healthy and now his pearly whites just shine. No more bad "doggy-breath". Winston loves to eat and sometimes he forgets that there is a tennis ball in his mouth and the ball ends up in the food dish. He is a very high energy dog and when it is time for bed, he really "crashes" hard. And as you can see he likes to be a lap dog too.
