They were rejected by the puppy mill's broker - for reasons such as being too small or having only three toes on one foot :( A broker is the person who buys the mill puppies and in turn sells them to pet stores, usually when they're only 5 or 6 weeks old.

Dasher is a complete love and a charmer. He melts everyone's heart. He comes up to you and just melts into your lap - what a great snuggler. We went to our vet appointment yesterday and this little guy has a few bugs that we need to get out of his system before he can be neutered. He weighed in at 21 lbs. - a lot more than I thought and once all the icky bugs are gone he will really start to fill out. The puppy mill smell is starting to fade or I'm just used to it?? This is one special guy and he deserves an equally special family.

During his exam the vet thought that he may have something wrong with his knee. We will have to have this checked out more when he is healthy enough to be neutered. Dasher (but I call him Charlie Bear) is making great strides in the short time he has been with me. He will now run out with the rest of the pack, where before I had to pick him up and bring him out. He may be small but he can hold his own with my Oakley and he is the perfect gentleman with Amber 04-267.
