Meet the lovely Chloe! She is a very delicate and petite female, purebred Golden, approximately 2 1/2 years old. She is UTD on all shots and has been spayed. Her only health problem is a slight ear infection which we are working on.
She comes to us from a puppy mill existence and it has taken its toll on her trust level with people. She just had a litter of pups about 3 months ago and weighs approximately 50 pounds. She is very skittish around people, often times running the other way back to the safety of her bed. She shows no sign of aggression towards any humans or animals, and willingly lets me take anything away from her.
You couldn't ask for a sweeter disposition. She loves to play with my dog and is always looking for a good romp fest. She is very kind and tolerant of our cat, letting him bat her muzzle and even bite her ears. They all sleep together.
Chloe's fear level is quite high and it will take a gentle and patient family to win her trust back. It would be best for Chloe if the family she came into had another dog to help her adjust to her new life. When she is with my dog her tail is up, head held high and she romps throughout the back yard. But when I enter the picture, she cowers. She will let me touch her and pet her in any manner, she is just terribly afraid that I will hurt her. It will take time with Chloe. She warms up to children very quickly and is now starting to approach me for pats and love.
Chloe is a beautiful buff colored girl with a narrow muzzle and an inquisitive nature. She will make a wonderful family pet who, after first learning to trust you, will forever be a loyal member of your family. Please consider Chloe for adoption.
