Lexa 05-004

Profile

Lexa has arrived safely and what a sweet girl. Lexa, along with her littermates and Momma, were abandoned in northern Minnesota. What is one's garbage is another?s treasure....and Lexa is a true treasure. Lexa is about 3 ? months old, spayed, UTD, weighs probably about 30 lbs. and is a sweetheart. I call her my little honey. I picked her up on Saturday and so far there have been no accidents. She is a perfect pup who will do anything to please you.

This litter is named after previous RAGOM dogs that have crossed over the Rainbow Bridge, so each dog has its own guardian angel to help them throughout their life. The guardian angel will watch over them and help them make the right decisions in life.

Lexa has so many special qualities! One of my favorites is how she loves to cuddle, and if her head is elevated to the right angle she snores like a grizzly bear. I think it?s adorable.

Lexa, as well as the rest of the litter, is very shy and will need lots of socialization. Are you the socialite type and looking for a companion to go everywhere with you??? Lexa was nervous with me at first but she warmed up to me after an hour. She is scared to be in the house and likes to hide under the kitchen table but as soon as she warmed up to me she was my little shadow. At first she wouldn?t even take a treat out of my hand, but once again, it didn?t take long to gain her trust. She is learning so quickly that people are good, houses aren?t scary, and love is the best thing in the world.

I gave Lexa a bath and she is a girl of luxury....she laid down and almost fell asleep. I swear she was asking for me to turn on the jets and to check on her later. She is so easy to groom. I cleaned her ears and she loved it.

Lexa is shy in the house but outside she is a regular puppy. She quickly figured out what toys are and she loves them. She loves to be chased around the yard by my Oakley....I think it?s a case of puppy love with these two. I swear that when she is running around and playing she has a smile on her face. After play time Oakley and Lexa enjoy curling up together for a little nap. Oakley taught her to get up on the couch....it wasn?t me, I swear.

If I?m outside with her she stays close by. I tell her to go potty and she runs over to her spot and does her job. The first time I told her good girl for going potty she stopped, looked at me, and turned her back to me. Don?t tell me that this is a dog that understands privacy?? I can?t even remember the last time I had privacy. As soon as she is done she comes running to me so I can tell her that she is the prettiest, sweetest, best girl ever. She will be an easy girl to train.

What I would like for Lexa is a loving, patient family who will take the time to socialize her and teach her that people are wonderful....basically, someone who wants a best friend, not just a dog. I want the new family to promise me that they will give this girl everything she needs. I think Lexa would make an excellent therapy dog. Even though she is shy right now, she is quickly forming a bond with me and will do anything to please me. She rarely takes her eyes off of me. She doesn?t have to be next to me every minute but she likes to know where I am. In the yard she will run and play with Oakley and Amber but stop and look for me.

Lexa enjoys the company of other dogs but I don?t think that it?s necessary that she be with another dog. At first you will need to give her extra love so she can learn to trust you. But the time and love you put into raising this little girl will be paid back 10 times over. So contact placement if you?re looking for your perfect match. I guarantee once you meet this little girl you will fall in love. There is something about her - it?s like she has an old spirit in her. Her personality really grabs hold of my heart. Are you looking for a dog that speaks to your soul?? Then let placement know and we will be happy to meet you.
