Whoopee for me!! Me and Foster Mom just got back from the vet and my platelet count is in the normal range!! The vet said that since I responded to high doses of steroids that I likely have immune mediated thrombocytopenia. And the fact my platelet count is now in the normal range means it should be manageable going forward. Yea for me! Foster Mom can reduce my steroids now and Iâll have my blood rechecked in two weeks.
Foster Momâs especially pleased cuz less steroids means Iâll drink less water, and less water means Iâll pee less (Iâve had a couple accidents). Yay for Foster Mom! I guess the whole trial-and-error worked for all the pills I have to take. Cheese? Nope. Peanut butter. Nuh uh. Wet food? Not a chance. But I LOVE hot dogs. I donât care HOW many pills Foster Mom stuffs in those. Iâm still on antibiotics for Lyme disease too, but as soon as theyâre done I should be in the clear on that. Thereâs still talk about a growth removal when Iâm all better. Not sure what that means but Iâm hoping itâs just a hair cut. I know it canât be toe nails cuz I donât have any!
Other than that foster careâs going great! Iâm not much for bones or toys so I like to snuggle my head into Foster Momâs lap and get some ear scratches. One of my foster sisters says Iâm a Goodie-Four-Paws and, maybe I am, but thatâs okay with me. I bet you can pick HER out of the picture. Iâm the beautiful, obedient blonde.
